My weight loss Journal.

Hello, and welcome to my weight loss journal. The picture on the right is me when I weighed about 15kg (33 pounds) less than I do right now. I've been thinking about creating this blog for a while now...yesterday I weighed myself and realized that in the last month I gained 5kg (11 pounds) so I simply knew that this was the perfect time for me to start. Hopefully this journal will keep me motivated enough to keep my diet and avoid binging (which I do on a regular basis :( ). I know that I am going to need a lot of support from my family and friends, but I am positive that where there is a will there is a way. I've been wanting to start loosing weight for a really long time but what discouraged me the most was the fact that I was expected to go to the gym, visit my GP regularly and set up appointments with a personal trainer. I never had the time to do all this, and probably I never will. But I'm taking a stand right now and I'm going to start loosing weight my way, no visits to the GP (I'm not morbidly obese and I will eat healthy, so no problems there), no visits to the gym and no personal trainers (no time, what with college, assignments and work...). Probably these are the same reasons that discourage many people from starting to loose weight. My mother is a Home economics teacher so she will help me with all the diet dishes. I will share these with you guys on this blog. I will also list all my exercise activities (mostly push ups, press ups, weights, and one of those stationary-bicycle-things you find in most gyms (what are those called?). I will also do some walking every day).

I currently weigh 85kg(185 pounds). I'm not sure exactly how overweight I am, probably about 7kg (15.4 pounds). About 4 years ago I weighed 65kg (143 pounds) which was the perfect weight for me, however lately I've been piling on the pounds. I took a picture of myself right now but I'm too self conscious to post it here yet :(. Tell you what, if this diet is successful, I will eventually post it here for a before and after shot.

Today I plan to eat a low fat sandwich (brown-bread with light cheese and lettuce) for lunch. I ate a grape-fruit for breakfast. Turkey left-overs, from new year's dinner, which I will eat at about 5.00pm when I get home from work. Regarding exercise: I walked 15 minutes from home to work and I will walk another 15 minutes this evening from work to home. I also plan to start doing push ups and press ups today...don't know how much of these I will make, It's been a really long time since I've done some proper exercise.

Ok that's it for today, I will post again tomorrow and tell you if I have kept my diet plan for today.
